TO-DO-LIST

I made this for our family a few months ago, but it took me quite a while until I took a picture of it:
A family with more than one kid needs to be organized (at least a little bit ;-))  ) so since the kids are old enough and are able to hear, speak and are able to move their limbs, they are able to help with the household -
with the side effect that they learn  for their future life and mum and dad have more time for them (again: at least a little bit)

 Yes - I combined the to-do-list with our homefamily evening!

no lauhgs about my drawing!!! the first sign means to arrange the milllions of shoes in our super small anteroom. The kids picked their own design

well - can you tell that we all have our own affectations - from the top beginning: the familypatriach loves mona lisa; Julia is in the Hello-Kitty-Age; I just looooove owls (did I ever mention this?) next to me: Christoph is completely into STAR WARS and at the end is Laura who still loves skulls (since she was 7years!!!), well Timo, our youngest one doesn´t need to do things right now - beside being SO  SWEET

2 years!!!!!

This  young man turned 2 y e a r s!!!! 
It´s unbelievable - I just gave birth to him! Those two years flew by like nothing!
He´s such an  asset to our family. Sure 4 kids are quite a challenge - but he completes our family totally!
He is as tall as a 3years old kid and knows how to start the I-phone or the I-pad. When he sits there and scrolls down his pages with his fingers on those things - that scares me a little bit - I didn´t even know anything about a computer at this age!!!

just 22 months/ erst 22 Monate

 

the last days were very challenging  -  so much more you enjoy the moments which you didn´t expect at all: 
The other evening I called the kids together four our family prayer, as our youngest one left the room  - then we heard him at the top of the stairs "daddy pray!"
we didn´t tell him anything to call his dad for familyprayer!!!
The other day was a VeRy bad day but I got payed off by our youngest one: in the middle of a grocery parking lot he was kuddling for about 2 minutes with me. He did this so loving and intensly - I absorbed every second!!!! Danke Timo!!!

It´s amasing what a little child  2 years (not even) is able to do - it just showes that they are realy observing you  - the good and the bad things!


Die letzten Tage waren sEhR herausfordernd - umso mehr genießt man jene Augenblicke, mit denen man überhaupt nicht rechnet:
Eines Abend rief ich die Kinder zum Abendgebet zusammen, als unser Jüngster den Raum verließ und wir ihn am Ende der Stiegen rufen hörten :"Papa - beten!"
Keiner hat ihn um das gebeten! :-)

Einer der letzen Tage war ein wirklich UNGUTER TAG!!!!! Aber ich wurde mitten am Parkplatz eines Supermarktes von meiner jüngsten Lendenfrucht aufgemuntert: Er umarmte, drückte und kuschelte mich für gut 2 Minuten mit so einer Liebe und Intensität, dass ich jede Sekunde davon aufsog! Oh was für eine Wohltat für meine Seele! DANKE Timo

Es ist bemerkenswert was von einem (nicht ein mal) 2 Jährigen alles kommen kann, es zeigt was sie alles beobachten  - das Gute und weniger Gute!

IT`S WORTH IT!!

you know -  having 4 kids - there´s always something going on during the week. Days are flying by like nothing and suddenly another year is over.
Laura and Christoph started this year with cheerleading and american football. Besides their piano and gitarre lessons and Julia´s dance lesson me and my husband had to drive them to their traininghours and this quite often during the week - always taking the other kids in tow!
But when you see them how much fun they have it´s all worth it  - the money and the time!!!!

SHARING is CARING

The other day Laura brought home those empy things - to be honest I thought "oh no - not more things we don´t need!!!!!"
Eines Tages kam Laura mit einigen dieser leeren Dingern nach Hause -  Ich konnte mir den Gedanken nicht verkneifen " Nein  - nicht schon wieder Etwas was wir nicht brauchen können!!!!"

Well Easter came and Laura spent hours in her room - telling us that we are not allowed to enter her room ------ ok - we accepted her desire. Ending up that Laura had covered those naked things with easter napkins, rifled her chocolate supply to fill the easter baskets. She also but here and there little presents like a small soft toy or wrapped other presents so that nobody was forgotten. Those baskets were all equipped with a ribbon and names. She created a total of 12 easter baskets and little present all made by herself - she had a hard time transport them all in a big shoe box in the car on our way to granny´s house - but she made it!
How much love, caring thougths about others and creativity can come from a 10year old girl - it wasn´t only me - the mum -  who was touched!

Ostern kam immer näher und Laura verbrachte Stunden über Stunden in ihrem Zimmer - mit dem Wunsch ihr Zimmer nicht zu betreten ----- wir aktezptierten dies. Mit dem Ergebnis, dass sie für ihre eigene Familie, Opa und Oma und die meines Bruders (samt Frau und 2 Cousinen) diese nackten Dinger mit Osterservietten überzogen hatte, ihren Naschvorrat geplündert hat, um diesen mit den selbgemachten Osterkörbchen befüllt hat - eine Schleife darum  gemacht und jedes einzelene mit Namen versehrt hat. In das ein oder anderen schmugelte sie noch ein  kleines Stofftier oder verpackte andere Kleinigkeiten damit auch keiner zu kurz kam. Im Ganzen hatte sie 12 Osterkörbchen  und kleine Geschenke kreiert und diese in großen Schuhschachteln ganz vorsicht im Auto zu den Großeltern transportiert - dies kostete ihr einige Schweißtropfen!!!
Wieviel Liebe, Gedanken an ihre Mitmenschen, Kreativität und einfach GEBEN in so einer 10jährigen stecken kann - nicht nur ich als Mama war berührt!!!

SOCKS

Laura, our oldest one is helping me once in a while with dressing up Timo while I´m getting ready. This time I discovered this: the one is longer than the other - but it was more important  to dress him different socks rather then he´s going without any sock!
Laura, unsere Älteste hilft mir ab und zu indem sie mir Timo anzieht, während ich mich fertig mache.Tja dann entdeckte ich dieses:der eine ist länger als der andere, aber es war ihr wichtiger irgend welche Socken anzu ziehen, bevor er ohne Socken herum läuft!!
