IT`S WORTH IT!!

you know -  having 4 kids - there´s always something going on during the week. Days are flying by like nothing and suddenly another year is over.
Laura and Christoph started this year with cheerleading and american football. Besides their piano and gitarre lessons and Julia´s dance lesson me and my husband had to drive them to their traininghours and this quite often during the week - always taking the other kids in tow!
But when you see them how much fun they have it´s all worth it  - the money and the time!!!!

SHARING is CARING

The other day Laura brought home those empy things - to be honest I thought "oh no - not more things we don´t need!!!!!"
Eines Tages kam Laura mit einigen dieser leeren Dingern nach Hause -  Ich konnte mir den Gedanken nicht verkneifen " Nein  - nicht schon wieder Etwas was wir nicht brauchen können!!!!"

Well Easter came and Laura spent hours in her room - telling us that we are not allowed to enter her room ------ ok - we accepted her desire. Ending up that Laura had covered those naked things with easter napkins, rifled her chocolate supply to fill the easter baskets. She also but here and there little presents like a small soft toy or wrapped other presents so that nobody was forgotten. Those baskets were all equipped with a ribbon and names. She created a total of 12 easter baskets and little present all made by herself - she had a hard time transport them all in a big shoe box in the car on our way to granny´s house - but she made it!
How much love, caring thougths about others and creativity can come from a 10year old girl - it wasn´t only me - the mum -  who was touched!

Ostern kam immer näher und Laura verbrachte Stunden über Stunden in ihrem Zimmer - mit dem Wunsch ihr Zimmer nicht zu betreten ----- wir aktezptierten dies. Mit dem Ergebnis, dass sie für ihre eigene Familie, Opa und Oma und die meines Bruders (samt Frau und 2 Cousinen) diese nackten Dinger mit Osterservietten überzogen hatte, ihren Naschvorrat geplündert hat, um diesen mit den selbgemachten Osterkörbchen befüllt hat - eine Schleife darum  gemacht und jedes einzelene mit Namen versehrt hat. In das ein oder anderen schmugelte sie noch ein  kleines Stofftier oder verpackte andere Kleinigkeiten damit auch keiner zu kurz kam. Im Ganzen hatte sie 12 Osterkörbchen  und kleine Geschenke kreiert und diese in großen Schuhschachteln ganz vorsicht im Auto zu den Großeltern transportiert - dies kostete ihr einige Schweißtropfen!!!
Wieviel Liebe, Gedanken an ihre Mitmenschen, Kreativität und einfach GEBEN in so einer 10jährigen stecken kann - nicht nur ich als Mama war berührt!!!

SOCKS

Laura, our oldest one is helping me once in a while with dressing up Timo while I´m getting ready. This time I discovered this: the one is longer than the other - but it was more important  to dress him different socks rather then he´s going without any sock!
Laura, unsere Älteste hilft mir ab und zu indem sie mir Timo anzieht, während ich mich fertig mache.Tja dann entdeckte ich dieses:der eine ist länger als der andere, aber es war ihr wichtiger irgend welche Socken anzu ziehen, bevor er ohne Socken herum läuft!!

JULIA

Darf ich unsere junge Lady Julia vorstellen, die heute 5Jahre wurde - sie ist wahrlich eine junge Dame, die sich schon mit 4 Jahren selbst anziehen konnte. Sie liebt es zu malen und zu basteln. Wenn man sie mal nicht hört und sich nach ihr auf die Suche macht, findet man sie auf einem der vielen Schreibtische im Hause - malen! Sie beschäftigt sich selber wie mit puzzeln, liebt es aber auch ihren Papa gleich nach der Arbeit abzupassen damit er mit ihr spielt.
May I introduce to you our young lady who turned 5 today - she is indeed a young lady who was able, since she was 4, to get dressed all by herself. She just looooves to draw and crafting. Sometime you have to go and see where she is - to find her on one of the tables in the house - drawing! She is able to be by herself and doing things like puzzling, BUT she just love to catch her dad right after he comes home and makes him play with her :-).




Julia hat 10 Tage bevor sie 5 wurde ihre 2 unteren Zähne verloren!!!
Sie kommt heute noch immer wieder zu dir und sagt einem "ich hab dich lieb!". Sie hat ihre heilige Unordnung auf ihrem Pult, aber WEHE jemand bringt etwas durch einander!
Julia es ist schön dich in unserer Familie haben zu dürfen!
Julia lost 10 days before she turned 5 years 2 of her teeth!
She still comes up to you telling you that she loves you! She has her little chaos on her desk - but don´t you touch anything!!!

TIMO



May we introduce to you Timo - he´s now 6months old. He´s still charming as ever!
Wir wollen Euch Timo vorstellen, der nun 6 Monate alt ist. Er hat noch immer seinen gewissen Charm!




He sits now all by himself und found out how to play and spit with his lips - we started with some real food - and there he also plays with his lips - fun for him - not for mum!!!!
Er sitzt nun schon ganz alleine und hat herausgefunden wir er mit seinen Lippen spielen und spucken kann. Wir haben mit der Beikost begonnen - natürlich muss er dabei auch mit seinen Lippen spielen - Lustig für ihn - nicht für Mama!!




Guess what - with his 29,13 inch and almost 26 pounds he didn´t fit into his floating tire for babys, didn´t fit in his swimming trunks and doesn´t fit into newly bought pants!
Tja - mit seinen 74cm und fast 11,5kg passte er nicht in seinen Babyschwimmtrainer, weder in seine Badehose noch brauchte er den frisch gekauften Sitzverkleinerer! Was für ein kleiner Schelm!


Timo has found his place in our family - often you hear from his brother: "You´re such a blessing to our family - buddy!" His big sister loves to carry him around and his younger sister loves to snuggle him! Well the kuddling times with mum and dad are also nice, as well as making jokes with them - as you can see on the pictures. Thank you for being in our family Timo!
Timo hat sehr gut seinen Platz in der Familie gefunden - immerwieder hört man von seinem Bruder "du bist ein Segen für uns - Kumpel!" oder wird von seiner älteren Schwester herum getragen und der kleineren Schwester abgeschmußt! Tja und mit Papa und Mama kann man auch gut kuscheln und Späße machen - siehe Fotos. Schön dich in unserer Familie haben zu dürfen Timo!

CHRISTOPH

Christoph turned 7years this month - he was born on a "black friday" - a fortunate day for us! He used to be the only boy between an older and a younger sister - but not anymore!Since his brother Timo was born he thanks Heavenly Father every day for his brother at his evening prayers. They have already a unique thing together - as Timo had a bath the other they we dicovered that Timo has a birth mark on the same body location as his brother!
Often he sits on the couchs having his brother on his lap and tells him all the many things that are important. That can be quite a lot! It´s starts with how he´s schoolday was and ends what kind of things they are going to do when Timo is older! I just looove listening to those conversations while I´m cooking in the kitchen! These moments are very precious!
He still is very creativ with building airplanes, well wepons,... out of any material. He´s newest passion (except playing games on dad´s i-phone!!!) is to fence. He only had a couple lessons but loves it very much and we will see how it will turn out....He is very important to our family and we are glad to have him!

Christoph wurde 7 Jahre dieses Monat. Er wurde an einem "schwarzen Freitag" geboren - für uns ein Glückstag! Bis vor kurzem war er der einzige Bub zwischen einer älteren und einer jüngeren Schwester - aber nicht mehr!
Seit sein Bruder Timo geboren wurde, dankt er dem Himmlischen Vater jeden Tag bei seinem Abendgebet dafür. Sie haben auch schon eine Gemeinsamkeit - als Timo das letzte Mal gebadet wurde, entdeckten wir, dass er ein Muttermal an der selben Körperstelle wie sein Bruder hat!
Oft hat er Timo auf dem Schoß und erzählt ihm dabei alles möglich Wichtige. Das kann sehr viel sein! Es beginnt damit wie sein Schultag war und endet damit was sie alles machen werden, wenn Timo größer ist. Ich liebe es als Mutter solchen Momenten zu lauschen, während ich in der Küche das Essen zubereite! Welche kostbare Momente!
Er ist noch immer sehr kreativ aus den verschiedensten Materialien Flugzeuge, tja auch Waffen,.... zu bauen. Seine neuste Leidenschaft (außer auf Vaters I-phone Spiele zu spielen) ist, fechten. Er hatte erst wenige Stunden, aber es macht ihm viel Spaß - mal sehen wie´s weiter geht!
Er ist sehr wichtig für unsere Familie und wir sind froh ihn in unserer Mitter haben zu dürfen!

Timo
Timo turned 3months today. He looks very much like his brother Christoph at this age. He has the most charming smile in the world!!! He even loughs and smiles while he´s sleeping - non of his siblings giggled so much during the sleep then he does.
Another unique thing of him is that his mum knows when she hears a very loud munch during the night that it´s time for Timo to get nursed!!! At this point he´s sucking his hands trying to get milk!
He doesn´t like so much the pacifier but fingers, hands or any shoulder or even cheecks instead, where he can suck on!
We are very blessed to have him in our family!

Unser Timo wurde heute 3Monate. Er schaut seinem Bruder Christoph sehr ähnlich als dieser in diesem Alter war. Er hat ein sehhhhhhhhhhr charmantes Lächeln! Er lacht sogar im Schlaf - keiner seiner Geschwister hat sooft gegluckst wie er im Schlaf.
Eine andere Besonderheit ist, wenn seine Mutter ein lautes Schmatzen in der Nacht hört - dann weiß sie, dass es an der Zeit ist das Timo gestillt wird - verzweifelt nuckelt er dann an seinen Händen um Milch heraus zu bekommen. Wehe dies dauer zu lange!
Er mag nicht so gerne Schnuller, dafür ist ihm jeder Finger, Hand, Schulter oder sogar Wange willkommen an der er nuckeln kann!
Wir fühlen uns sehr gesegnet, ihn in unserer Familie haben zu dürfen!
